What is changing?
You may have seen the recent communication from Salesforce on the plans to change the connected app usage restrictions.
Salesforce has outlined its planned changes here, and you may have also seen the email drop in your inbox with the title Attention: Salesforce Product Change for Connected Apps Security.
Impact
This change affects many apps that connect with Salesforce, however we believe the disruption to Gearset will be minimal.
When?
Salesforce will start rolling out this change on August 28, 2025 for new orgs, and beginning early September 2025 for existing orgs.
We will post further updates in this article as we investigate the change and work to confirm the impact this will have on Gearset.
