What changes are happening in Connected Apps and why does this affect Code Reviews?
Gearset uses a Salesforce Connected App in order to connect to Salesforce orgs you add to your account. New security requirements are being enforced by Salesforce on May 11th 2026, which impacts the way Gearset is able to interact with your org.
If you connect to the same Salesforce org across your Gearset and Code Reviews accounts, you will now need to ensure the Salesforce connection is made with different users on each app.
If you only have a Code Reviews account, this will not affect you.
What do I need to do?
For any Salesforce orgs you have added to both Gearset and Code Reviews, you'll have to update the Salesforce org settings in Code Reviews to use a connection with a different user to that in Gearset.
We will be rolling out a change week beginning May 4th 2026 to make this possible. This doc will be updated with further instructions when it is available.
If you don't update your Code Reviews org project, the connection will expire and org scans will be paused until you have updated the project. Gearset connections will continue to work.
If you reconnect your Code Reviews org project with the same user as Gearset again, it will likely invalidate your connection in Gearset, and both will require refreshing.
