What changes are happening in Connected Apps and how does this affect Code Reviews?
Gearset uses a Salesforce Connected App in order to connect to Salesforce orgs you add to your account. New security requirements are being enforced by Salesforce on May 11th 2026, which impacts the way Gearset is able to interact with your org.
We will be updating Code Reviews internally to ensure we comply with these new security requirements. This should not cause user disruption.
We previously believed that Salesforce org connections to the same Connected App with the same user was limited to 1, but have since discovered that this is not the case. Almost all users of both Gearset and Code Reviews will be able to use the same Salesforce org connections with the same user in both apps.
What do I need to do?
The vast majority of users will not need to do anything.
However, if you use Gearset in all 5 data residency regions offered, you may need to change your Code Reviews setup. Please reach out to Gearset support so we can advise you in this case.
