Use the On-demand comparison filter when you want to load a comparison quickly without choosing a filter first. It has no pre-selected metadata types, so applying it has the same effect as the None (0) filter.
Once the comparison page loads, you can add the metadata types you want to retrieve to your filter. You can also select your preferred filter, either a custom filter you created or one of our predefined ones.
You can also choose which managed packages to include directly from the comparison page, without opening the metadata filter.
