Gearset connects to your Marketing Cloud Engagement (ExactTarget) org using an OAuth 2.0 integration. The client secret for that integration expires after 180 days.
When your client secret expires, Gearset will be unable to connect to your Marketing Cloud org and your change monitoring jobs will fail. You'll need to rotate your client secret in your Marketing Cloud org, and Gearset with your new client secret.
How to rotate your Marketing Cloud client secret
In your Marketing Cloud org, go to your Gearset integration and click Generate to generate and stage a new secret.
This is the only time you can view your client secret. Make sure you take a note of it and store it securely - treat it like a password.
Make a note of your client secret and click Finish. Click Activate on your staged secret.
Wait 5-10 minutes for your new client secret to activate.
In Gearset, go to your Marketing Cloud connection and click Update client secret. Enter your new client secret and click Update client secret.
