Retrieval of expression sets with Gearset
In order to retrieve an expression set in Gearset, make sure to have Expression set definition and Expression set definition version.
Deploying expression sets
When deploying expression sets make sure to select both the version of the expression set as well as the expression set definition. To deploy a working expression set you will need both selected.
Once selected you can work through the rest of the deployment steps as normal and successfully validate and deploy the expression set.
Resolution to a common validation error
Users have reported the following validation error when deploying Expression sets: We couldn't find the parent record for the version <xxx> (where <xxx> refers to a specific Expression set's version).
This error can be resolved by including the Expression set definition in the comparison as well as the Expression set definition version.
