The upgraded comparison workflow is now available to all users within the app. For an overview on how to use it see our user guides.
You’ll be able to use both the old and new workflows until the end of May, when the comparison upgrade will replace the legacy comparison workflow completely.
With the upgrade you get improved UI and faster comparison performance:
Faster comparisons based on the existing comparison history of the org
Easier selection of metadata types to compare in real time
On-demand item level retrieval to prioritize metadata that you want to see first
Added support for only refreshing specific metadata types and improved item level refresh performance
Added custom date range filtering for metadata
Support for source tracking for orgs that have it enabled
Item difference type and date changed information is now included for named items in the comparison filter
Selected items can now be broken down into their specific types. Note - selected items is now located at the top of the new sidebar.
