What problem is it solving?
In Salesforce, quotes can be enabled or disabled. Enabling or disabling quotes changes the Quote settings.
Enabling quotes adds the Quote custom object, and disabling quotes deletes the Quote custom object. Rather than deploying the Quote custom object to enable or disable quotes, you need to deploy the Quote settings.
How does it work?
If you try to deploy the Quote custom object, Gearset will prompt you to deploy the Quote settings object instead. If you ignore this, quotes will not be enabled or disabled on the target org.
