If for whatever reason you need to abandon a release in a Gitflow pipeline, then follow the relevant steps depending on which stage your release is in.

The release PR is already open against production

  1. Select your production environment and open the Releases tab:

  2. Select the menu next to Deploy release and choose Close release PR:

Your release PR against production will now be closed. However, the release will still appear on your release node. If you want to abandon your release completely, continue with the steps below.

The release PR has not be opened against production

  1. Select the release node and select the Abandon button:

  2. Choose whether you want to delete the release branch, then select Abandon to confirm your decisions:

Your release will now be abandoned.
