This article includes guidance on how to retrieve and deploy a Global Action from your Salesforce org.

Global Actions are fund under User Interface > Global Actions in Salesforce orgs.

Let's look at a real example. Below I've created a new Global Action called Sales_call.

How to retrieve Global Action using Gearset?

To retrieve a Global Action item, you'd need to include Quick action metadata type in the filter.

See this article for guidance on filter management in our app:
โ€‹Manage custom filters in 'Compare and deploy'

Alternatively, you can use Gearset's pre-defined Default comparison metadata filter. This filter includes Quick action along with 62 other metadata types.

If your Global Action is new in the source environment (org) as on below example, you'd find it in the New tab of your comparison results:

If you're not sure whether it's a new or changed item, we recommend to look for your item in the All items tab instead.

If you've made changes to an existing Global Action in your source environment, you'll find it in the Changed tab in your comparison results.
