Users have written to us with questions on how to retrieve Standard value sets using Gearset.
Sometimes, when users only specify the Standard value set metadata type in the metadata filter, Gearset shows no results, which can be very confusing. This article explains how to retrieve the Standard value set you need.
For the Salesforce metadata API to return the Standard value set, you need to include the Custom object metadata type in your filter too:
Here is an example of CaseStatus being retrieved with the metadata type of Custom object selected in the comparison filter, and then filtered to only return the Case object, and the Standard value set metadata type selected in the comparison filter, and filtered to only return the CaseStatus object:
Standard Value Sets on Financial Services Cloud orgs
Are Standard value sets supported on Financial Services Cloud orgs?
Yes, Gearset should be able to retrieve those metadata types as well.
We have added support for multiple Standard Value Sets specifically available on Financial Services Cloud orgs. They are as follows:
Display name | Supported? |
ApplicationFormStage | Yes |
FinancialAccountStatus | Yes |
FinancialAccountType | Yes |
If you're using a Standard Value Set not noted above please let us know in the in-app chat. We'd be happy to add that support in.
