Observability Insights

This article will give a brief outline of what the Observability Insights tab is, what is shows and why we built it.

Written by Josh Camilleri

What is it?

A new tab in Observability that gives teams a focused, weekly readout of what's actually impacting their Salesforce orgs β€” across Flow errors, Apex errors, and Org limits β€” instead of asking them to piece it together from the raw Dashboard. This is a rolling 7 day by day comparison.

It's now the default landing tab for Observability (replacing the Dashboard). A dismissible banner at the top explains this and links to the Dashboard for anyone who wants the old view.

What's on the page

Flow errors panel

  • Totals for the current 7-day window vs the previous 7 days, plus % change.

  • Distinct affected users count.

  • Unhandled error count.

  • Top error groups and top affected users, with click-through into a sidebar showing the email content, error notes, and the Observability agent for that group.

Apex errors panel

Same shape as Flow errors β€” totals, week-over-week change, top-3 groups by affected users and by error count. Same click-through sidebar.

Org limits panel

  • Count of tracked limits that breached their critical threshold in the last 7 days.

  • Count of tracked limits that hit 100%.

  • A usage comparison view showing daily peaks for each enabled limit over the last 7 days vs the previous 7 days, with min/median/max/mean and % change. Only limits with at least 5 baseline days are shown (avoids noise from sparse data). Changes of β‰₯15% are flagged as significant.

Not seeing the Insights Tab?

You will land on the Dashboard tab and not the Insights Page if you have less than 14 days of data. This is because we compare the last current 7 day window vs the previous 7 days
