AI Acceptable Use Policy

Violating, promoting, facilitating, or contributing to the violation of any applicable Laws or Regulations.

Compromising the legal rights of any Person, including the rights of publicity and privacy.

Using the tool outside the expected or intended scope of use as defined by Gearset in our Documentation.

Creating or directly influencing automated decisions that affect a person's safety, rights, or well-being, including decisions that have legal consequences or other major effects on them. Without limiting the foregoing, this includes not using Gearset AI features to make, or be a substantial factor in making, significant decisions about individuals (including decisions regarding employment, credit, housing, insurance, education or access to essential goods or services).

Providing any financial, legal, medical, or other professional advice, or practicing any occupation subject to licensing requirements under applicable law.

Engaging in or offering any illegal gambling, real money gambling, payday lending, or sports betting.

Exploiting, harming, or attempting to exploit or harm children in any way, whether or not prohibited by Law.

Infringing any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, or other intellectual property or other rights of any Person.

Engaging in political or electoral campaigning or lobbying, including generating campaign materials personalized to or targeted at specific demographics.

Using the tool as a medical device or medical device software.

Generating or promoting disinformation, misinformation, or other intentionally deceiving or misleading content.

Attempting to gain unauthorized access to, interfere with, damage, or disrupt any parts of the services or related networks.

Introduce any viruses, malware, or other material that is malicious or technologically harmful.

Circumventing or interfering with features, filters, or safeguards intended to limit or mitigate violations of Laws or this AI AUP.

Any use case deemed "high-risk", “consequential”, “significant” or similarly regulated under applicable AI legislation, including but not limited to:
a) Biometric identification and classification.
b) Emotional recognition.
c) The safety component of critical infrastructure.
d) The safety component of a product.
e) Determining access to education and vocational training.
f) Recruiting, monitoring, or terminating employment of individuals, including independent contracting.

g) Making a creditworthiness assessment or establishing a credit score.
h) Insurance, including risk assessing or pricing life and health insurance, or evaluating eligibility for essential services.
i) Financial or lending services.
j) Housing (including approvals, renewals or evictions).
k) Government benefits or other essential public services.
l) Legal representation or legal aid.
m) Healthcare services.
