This document explains how to manage and apply policy updates within the Clayton UI, ensuring your projects remain compliant with the latest security guidance and best practices.
Notification of New Policies
You'll find notifications for new policy updates in the top right-hand side of the UI. These updates are typically released in conjunction with new Salesforce releases, keeping you informed about the most current guidance.
β
Previewing Policy Changes
Before installing an update, you can preview the changes. The preview will show you which policy is being updated (e.g., the Secure, Automated Intentional policy) as well as a description of the rule being modified.
β
The "Where Is This Used?" tab shows you which of your projects have the policy you're updating set as active. This means you can quickly see which projects will be affected when you install the new rules.
β
Customizing and Installing Updates
You're in control of how new policy updates are applied. You can adjust the severity level of rules using the pencil icon, and a status toggle lets you turn off any rules you don't need.
β
Once you've made your adjustments, select the install button to update the policy and add the new rules. You always have the option to edit which policies and rules are applied later, you can find more information about those options here
Viewing Flagged Issues
After the policy update is installed and the next scan is completed, you will be able to view any instances where the newly added or updated rules have flagged issues within your projects.
